Comincia con una sconfitta la prima stagione di RMB Brixia Basket in serie A2. Rimane l’amaro in bocca per aver affrontato una Umbertide senza il suo pubblico casalingo, che sicuramente funge da booster per le atlete di casa.
Le squadre si alternano al comando per ben 10 volte, quando nei minuti finali del quarto tempo Brixia cala le medie e l’intesità, Umbertide piazza la zanpata finale.
Per le bresciane lezione da imparare, a questi livelli il minimo cedimento mentale si paga.

Brixia inizia con Turmel,, Rainis, De Cristofaro, Bonomi e Zanardi,, Umbertide con Pompei, Giudice, Kotnis, De Cassan e Baldi.Gli arbitri fischiano anche i sospiri e le squadre vanno spesso in lunetta (10 volte UMB,, 12 BRIX). A farne le spese Rainis, con due falli in un amen. A metà quarto la nota positiva del rientro di Capitan Paola Sozzi, autrice di un paio di giocate delle sue, che elettrizzano la partita. La condizione non è delle migliori, ma Paola sarà un’ottima aggiunta per il prosieguo del campionato Brixia.
Nel secondo quarto Brixia mantiene un breve vantaggio, le difese hanno la meglio sugli attacchi, con Turmel che sale di quota con un paio di stoppate sulle lunghe ospitanti (alla fine saranno 4 per lei)
Nel terzo quarto un paio di lampi di Carlotta Zanardi tengono il Brixia in vantaggio.
Nell’ultimo quarto scava il solco Federica Pompei (alla fine per la play di casa 10/10 ai TL e 3/4 nel momento topico), sufficienti a recuperare il gap e mettere la testa avanti sul filo di lana.

Come dicevamo, forse un occasione sprecata, visto il precampionato travagliato di Umbertide, ma la consapevolezza di aver giocato fino in fondo la partita per vincerla.
Decisive alcune letture ed errori di misura, tutte cose su cui si può lavorare in palestra.

La prossima gara contro una delle favorite del campionato (Faenza) sarà un ulteriore banco di prova per verificare la competitività del gruppo e l’attenzione ai particolari che forse è mancata oggi : quale partita migliore per continuare il processo di crescita !
